Can I drop my child off later than their scheduled start time of 8am?

Yes! This is fine but we do like to go out and about in the local area to places like Roundhay park, the Library and the local shops, so we do request that all children are here no later than 9am, after this you may need to make arrangements to meet up with us.

Can I collect my Child early?

Yes! Just give us a ring to make sure we are here or pre-arrange this with a member of Management.

I may need occasional extra days. Can you accomodate this?

Absolutely. We will try to accommodate any extra days you may need as long as we have the space available.

The more notice you give us the more likely we are to be able to accommodate your needs but can occasionally accommodate last minute or on the day requests.

My child is under the weather/has a cold can I still send them?

We are happy to accept children with cold as long as they are happy and active.

If your child is upset and/or just wants to sit and have hugs then they are best at home.

If your child has vomited or had diarrhoea in the last 48 hours. Please keep them home.

If your child has had a temperature that has hit 39 degrees or higher in the last 24 hours then please keep them home. Children that reach this temperature whilst at Ducklings will be sent home.

My child is on medication. Can they come in and will you give them the medication?

Calpol = Yes, You must inform staff when dropping your child off, when, why and how much calpol you have given and as long as the child is and remains happy and active then we are happy for them to stay.

Ducklings holds permission from all parents to give calpol to their child if they get a temperature of 37.5 or higher. This is the only time Ducklings will give any medicines without a prescription.

Medications prescribed by a doctor = Yes, it must be prescribed by a doctor to the child, in its original bottle and packaging, with the pharmacist label attached and readable.

My child uses real nappies. Is this something you are happy to use?

Yes, you will need to supply us with a suitable bag to send the used nappies home in. No carrier bags please.
